Just going from memory, and apologies if you already know most/all of this stuff. You can mouse over the towns to check on the growth rate, demand will obviously increase as the town grows and the faster growing towns are usually where you want to be. Watch out for the negative impact your factories will have if they are too close to a town. Since the towns constantly expand, they will sometimes expand to within range of your production. Which can slow town growth if significant enough.Having some diversity in your products/industry is hugely helpful since demand for one product or another will drop significantly due to weather or the economy (or just random consumer preferences). I usually go with grocery (meat, fruit, eggs.) move on to lightly processed food (canned goods, baby formula, etc.) and then go into more interesting stuff like car manufacturing or clothing or electronics or whatever. I think groceries are an easy way to get initial return quickly and build up a little capital. The advantage of growing your own raw materials (e.g.
Yarn, cotton, etc.) is that you don't have to move raw material mines when stuff runs out like you do when you pull metal or oil or glass out of the ground. It's not that you shouldn't mine, but as your income foundation it's easier to have reliable production that you can build up and just let do its thing while you build up elsewhere. You can save some significant transport costs by putting your warehouses on the outer range of production facilities. Green is good. Manage your warehouses tightly so they don't fill with one product or another and choke out something else you need to put in there.Imo trains trucks.Ummm. I can't think of anything else atm.
Hope this helped a little.
Dec 20, 2014 Industry Giant 2 gameplay without commentary. Campaign: MEDIUM:: Greenland. Disclaimer: Industry Giant 2 was developed by JoWood. I am not affiliated with JoWood. When I first played Industry Giant 2,I had a hard time figuring out how to make money but, after about two days, I finally got a few stores built that was making money. This game is NOT as difcult as SimCity 4 but, it does give challanges that you don't face in SimCity 4. You may have to slow down production at one of your plants because demand.
